THE GIANT GLOVE HAT KNITTING PATTERN

You Need:
A set of four No.9 needles with points at both ends.
Four balls of double knitting wool (25grm.or 1oz).
Two stitch holders.

Cast on 108 Sts. (36 Sts on each of three needles).
Work 24 rounds in K.1,P.2 rib.
Knit 12 rounds plain.
Thumb Gusset
1st round: Inc., 1 in 1st stitch, K.1, inc., 1 in next stitch, knit to end of round.
2nd and every alternate round: knit
3rd round: Inc., 1 in 1st stitch,3,inc 1 in next stitch, knit to end of round,
5th round: Inc., 1, K.5, inc.,1, knit to end
7th round: Inc., 1, K.7, inc., 1, knit to end
9th round: Inc., 1, K.9, inc., 1, knit to end
11th round: Inc., 1, K.11, inc., 1, knit to end
13th round: Inc., 1, K.13, inc., 1, knit to end
15th round: inc., 1, K. 15, inc., 1, knit to end
17th round: inc., 1, K.17, inc., 1, knit to end
19th round: inc., 1, K.19, inc., 1, knit to end
21st round: inc., 1, K.21, inc., 1, knit to end
23rd round: inc., 1, K.23, inc., 1, knit to end
24th round: Knit (132 stitches).
Slip 24 Sts. on to a stitch holder.
Knit 16 rounds on the remaining 108 stitches
First Finger
1st round: K.14,Slip 80 stitches. on to a stitch holder or piece of wool; K.14.
Divide these 28 stitches. between three needles and knit 26 rounds.
28th round: (K.2 Tog.,K3) 5 times, K.1,K.2 Tog.(22 stitches)
29th round: Knit
30th round: (K.2 Tog.,K3) 4 times,K.2 (18 stitches)
31st round: Knit
32nd round: (K.2 Tog.) 9 times. Thread the wool through the remaining 9 stitches.
Pull tight and fasten off.
Second Finger
Leaving 52 stitches on the holder, pick up the first 14 stitches from it and the last 14.
Continue as for first finger, knitting 30 rounds instead of 26.
Third Finger
Leaving 24 stitches on the holder, pick up the first 14 stitches from it and the last 14.
Continue as for first finger.
Fourth Finger
Pick up the remaining stitches and knit 20 rounds
21st round: (K.2 Tog.,K.3) 4 times, K.2 Tog., K.2 (19 stitches)
22nd round: Knit
23rd round: (K.2 Tog.,K.2) 4 times ,K.2 Tog., K.1 (14 stitches)
24th round: (K.2 Tog.,) 7 times.
Thread wool through remaining 7 stitches, pull tight and fasten off.
Thumb
Pick up the 24 stitches from the first holder and knit 22 rounds.
23rd round: {K.2 Tog., K.3) 4 times,K.2 Tog., K.2 (19 stitches)
24th round: Knit
25th round: (K.2 Tog.,K.3) 3 times, K.2 Tog., K.2 (15 stitches)
26th round: K1, (K.2 Tog.,) 7 times.
Thread the wool through the remaining 8 stitches and fasten off.
Sew all the loose ends of wool to the inside of the glove.
